Hey, gang, it’s that time once again for one of the most odious marketing trends in modern cinema: the teaser trailer for an upcoming trailer. Yes, the commercial advertising an upcoming commercial. Of course, we could simply ignore such a thing, but hey, this is the internet: we have to post even the tiniest morsel of information that relates to a comic book movie of any form. Thus, we have the trailer for the trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, plus two new pics.
The trailer for Captain America: The Winter Solider is set to drop tomorrow, but Marvel just couldn’t help but add to the hype a bit by giving us a 10-second preview:
On top of that, two low-quality images!
As we noted yesterday: “in the film, Chris Evans stars as Captain America, who has spent his post-The Avengers time living in Washington D.C. and getting used to living in a modern world. But after an assault against SHIELD, Captain America teams up with Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) and the Falcon (Anthony Mackie), a guy who can fly and speak telepathically with birds. Which, yes, is as stupid as it sounds. But that’s not all—soon Captain America will face down the Winter Soldier, Steve Rogers’ best friend from the first film who has been brainwashed into an assassin.”
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is set for an April 4, 2014 release date.
