We all know that DC Entertainment and Warner Bros are playing catch-up to Marvel Studios in the film department, and that’s okay. They did a decent job making the Superman reboot Man of Steel and are looking to finally integrate a couple of their most popular characters into one movie with Batman Vs. Superman. The real question is who else we’ll be seeing in the upcoming crossover movie.
There’s been a lot of speculation as of late that Wonder Woman would be making some sort of appearance in this crossover piece, but that may not be the case after all. If Greg Silverman, president of creative development at WB, is speaking the truth, then we won’t be seeing a hint of the Amazonian princess at all. This is what he had to say:
We have been doing a lot of thinking for years about how to best use all those characters and we love them. Wonder Woman is an amazing character. I think it’s a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero.
So there we have it. Stop daydreaming about Wonder Woman getting in the middle of that hunk of superhero man sandwich there and just keep reading the comics. Well, I wouldn’t be recommending reading the New 52 comics because they’re littered with problems, but you know what I’m talking about.
Are you glad to hear that Wonder Woman won’t be appearing in Batman Vs. Superman? Why or why not?
