The latest installment of the Fast And Furious franchise has began shooting in Atlanta, and unsurprisingly, Vin Diesel has given fans a set of two stills featuring him, his bomber jacket and co-star Paul Walker.
As usual, Diesel shared the photos (seen above and below) via his Facebook, where he does most of his teasing. But the stills say very little about the plot. Though we don’t have specific details on the story yet, Geeks Of Doom speculates that the movie will be a “revenge-based auctioner,” and that (recently cast) Kurt Russell‘s role will be a minor one at first, but will grow in the eight installment.
Diesel has said that he’s excited about Fast 7 and working with director James Wan, who he also praises for conquering the horror genre. The seventh installment will bring back other series regulars like Jason Statham and Tyrese Gibson, as well as newcomers such as Djimon Hounsou, martial artist Nathalie Emmanuel and Tony Jaa. This will be Jaa’s Hollywood debut. He has previously appeared in Thai action movies.
As for Wan, the director has said that he’s done with horror films. He told Moviefone that Insidious 2 and The Conjuring were his last scary movies. Like any director, Wan feels the need to explore other genres, and despises being stuck in a box. With Fast 7, he’s heading into the action territory, and all we can do is hope he’s as good there as he is in giving us chills.
What do you think? Do you pick up any plot details off of these two stills?
