Out of all the newer networks out on television, FX is definitely one of the shining stars of that bunch. They’ve been able to produce a flurry of outstanding content through their various drama and comedy television shows that they’ve been flashing in our faces throughout the years. So what are they going to do next? Why, they’re going to make their own television show out of American Psycho.

Today it was announced that FX would be moving forward with a sequel based off of the American Psycho book and movie released in 2000. The TV show will be set in the modern day where our favorite serial killer Patrick Bateman is training another to follow in his deadly footsteps. This doesn’t really sound like the most spectacular of stories but knowing FX, they may have a possible fantastic series on their hands. I guess the best thing we can do now is sit back and wait, see who they cast. At the moment they have Stefan Jaworski on hand to write.

If I were you, I would get those thoughts of Christian Bale popping in and reprising his role as Patrick Bateman out of your head right now. After the way he had to contractually revisit Bruce Wayne/Batman in the Christopher Nolan trilogy, there’s an extremely slim chance that he would want to go back into the mind of this maniac.

Do you want to see a TV show based off of American Psycho? Why or why not?
