James Gunn continues to surround himself with familiar faces. Gregg Henry, who previously worked with the director on both Super and Slither, is the latest actor to board Guardians of the Galaxy. Now, Gregg is on his way to the U.K. which is where the superhero movie is currently filming.
The prolific actor took to Twitter to announce his sweet new gig, however, he didn’t reveal what role he’d be playing. It’s likely that we won’t find out his character any time soon either because Marvel loves to keep these things “under wraps” (and just keep us guessing).
Henry has been in the game for a long, long time. He’s a familiar face thanks to all of the TV shows he’s been on, like Murder, She Wrote, 24, The Killing, Bunheads (the list could go on forever). He even worked with Joss Whedon on a little show called Firefly. He also had roles in films such as Star Trek: Insurrection, Mel Gibson’s Payback, and Brian De Palma‘s Femme Fatale.
Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Michael Rooker, Ophelia Lovibond, Benicio Del Toro, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan, Djimon Honsou. Glenn Close and John C. Reilly. The superhero movie hits theaters August 1, 2014.
What do you think? What role will Gregg play?
