We all know that Marvel has laid out a grand master plan to chuck out one cool comic book adapted movie after another out on the big screen in the next couple of years, but did you think they were going to stop there? If there’s one thing Marvel’s fantastic at, it’s strategically planning when they’ll put together each movie in their Marvel Cinematic Universe. So when Kevin Feige (the great and powerful Marvel Oz) let it be known that they have their slate full between now and 2021, you can’t help but be impressed.
How did Kevin Feige let it slip out? Wait, let’s scratch that previous sentence. There’s no way that Marvel president Kevin Feige just happened to randomly let the masses know that they have movies planned out all the way until 2021. He probably planned this all in advance. After all, that’s how everything else has worked out so far for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and look at how great it’s worked out so far. Any who, this is what he had to say on the subject (via Wired):
I could arguably say what we’re planning for the year 2021. Will that happen? I don’t know. But what we planned for 2015 in 2006 is happening.
The one thing that tells us is that their grand master plan has been working out wonderfully so far. There’s been a couple of rearrangements in the schedule, mainly having to do with the long-gestating Ant-Man, but that’s all right. Marvel’s been pleasing many fans so far with all of their films, so there’s no need to worry about what’s to come in the future. I say just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
What other Marvel characters do you hope they place in their own film between now and 2021?
