X-Men made history over the weekend when a large amount of its cast, ranging from X-Men: Days of Future Past to the original X-Men trilogy and X-Men: First Class, showed up at Hall H during the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con. Since, the hype for X-Men: Days of Future Past has doubled and with good reason (we hear the footage was awesome). Now, to keep the hype going, Marvel has revealed the very first two posters for the movie.

The posters merge black and white portraits of Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart with color filtered portraits of Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy, all four in their respective roles. In the film, Magneto and Professor X are the only characters to have two actors play them, so this technique of merging the old with the new is being very well executed, plus it gives us a taste of what to expect next summer.

Days Of Future Past is based on a classic two-issue comics story where Wolverine is sent to the past by the X-Men to change a major historical event that could globally impact man and mutant kind. The movie stars also stars Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Halle Bery, Omar Sy, Anna Paquin, Nicholas Hoult, and many more.  It is set for a May 23, 2014 release date.

What do you think of the posters? Are you excited for Days Of Future Past?
