The 2013 San Diego Comic-Con superhero news (specifically, Warner Bros. and DC Comics superhero news) is coming out fast and furious this morning: in addition to the just-shy of being confirmed rumors that the Man of Steel sequel will be a World’s Finest film featuring a Batman and Superman team-up, comes the news that Warner Bros. is expected to announce that films for The Flash and The Justice League will be coming to a theater near you very soon.
The news isn’t very surprising, as Warner Bros. has been frothing at the mouth to replicate the world-building success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (and, specifically, The Avengers) with their own DC Comics movie universe (and, specifically, The Justice League), by creating new films for Superman, Batman, and now, the Flash.
Apparently, rumors are flying that The Flash is being prepped for a 2016 release date, with a Justice League film set for 2017, which will be the culmination of Man of Steel, the rumored World’s Finest, The Flash, and whichever other superhero movies Warner Bros. can manage to churn out.
But remember, this news is currently all rumor—stay tuned to ScreenCrave’s Comic-Con news stream for constant updates on the situation!
