DIVERGENT

Summit has, not one, but two sci-fi films at this year’s Comic-Con – the popular Ender’s Game, which is based on a 1985 novel by Orson Scott Card and the dystopian adventure Divergent, which is set in a post-apocalyptic Chicago where people are split into factions based on their personality types. The studio has released a batch of character posters and new clip for the Ender’s Game, as well as action photos from the set of Divergent. Check them out below.

Asa Butterfield leads the Ender’s Game cast as Andrew “Ender” Wiggin, a young prodigy who could be the planet’s best hope for survival. He’s joined by Harrison Ford, who plays Col. Hyrum Graff, trainer to the young soldiers, Ben Kingsley as the legendary Commander Mazer Rackham, Viola Davis as Major Gwen Anderson, Hailee Steinfeld as Petra Arkanian and Nonso Anozie as Sergeant Dap.

In the new clip, we see Ford’s Colonel Graff making a very serious announcement. There’s also some action footage of flying jets shooting each other down.

Summits other sci-fi flick, Divergent, stars Shailene Woodley as Tris Prior, a girl who discovers she is “divergent” thus disqualifying her from fitting into any group of five factions that are used to divide people in her dystopian society. The movie also stars Theo James, Kate Winslet, Tony Goldwyn, Ray Stevenson, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Jai Courtney, Miles Teller and Zoë Kravitz.

In the gallery below you will find the Ender’s Game character posters, along with some new stills of Divergent, which show Woodley jumping off a moving train with co-star Kravitz, who plays Christina. There are also some photos of a serious-looking Winslet, and Woodley training with James’ Four.

Ender’s Game opens in theaters November 1st, while Divergent opens until next year on March 21st. Remember to stay tuned to ScreenCrave’s Comic-Con news stream for constant updates coming out of the event.
