x-men sentinel

One of the first things seen at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con was the display set-up for “Trask Industries,” the fictitious company in the X-men universe that develops and builds the Sentinels—gigantic robots programmed to hunt and destroy all mutants.  We took a few pictures of the display, which featured miniatures of the Sentinels heads, giving us two bits of information: what, more or less, the Sentinels will look like in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past, as well as a pretty obvious hint that X-Men: Days of Future Past will likely have a strong presence in Hall H this year, even if no panel for it has been officially announced.

And, to add fuel to that fire, the official X-Men: Days of Future Past Tumblr page has kicked into high gear—as we reported yesterday, the site offered up a bevy of character portraits (including our first look at Bishop!), and today, we finally got our first official look at the Sentinels as featured in the upcoming film:

Fairly cool, no?

X-Men: Days of Future Past stars Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, Ian McKellan, Patrick Steward, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Halle Bery, Omar Sy, Anna Paquin, Nicholas Hoult, and many more.  It is set for a May 23, 2014 release date.

What do you think of the Sentinel image?
