While everyone is currently poised to leap onto whatever morsels of information leak out of the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con, another teaser trailer for The Counselor snuck online. The film, which features a pretty stellar pedigree (written by novelist Cormac McCarthy, directed by Ridley Scott, and starring Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz), concerns an attorney (Fassbender) who joins forces with a mystery man with wacky hair (Bardem) to sell $20 million worth of cocaine.
The newest teaser hints at a subplot in the film between Diaz’s femme fatale-esque character, and Fassbender’s gal-pal (Cruz). In addition, there are all of the tense and ominous quick-cuts from the first teaser, soundtracked by that annoying “thhhhwoooooom” noise from Inception that seems required for every movie trailer now. Check it out:
While not much else is revealed from the clip, we’re very, very excited about this one. The only downside to the film, so far? We have to wait until October 25th to see the thing. But for those of you who are, like us, rather impatient and simply can’t be made to wait a few months, you can read whole chunks of The Counselor’s script online.
