We’re roughly around a week away from seeing any sort of footage of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 because we know that Sony will be showing off some crazy fun scenes at next week’s San Diego Comic-Con. Before we get a proper dosage of Spider-Man footage, we’re being tied down with a flurry of pictures that show us the final design of our main villain Electro (Jamie Foxx), which looks really cool.
Perhaps one of the coolest looking characters in this whole bunch of pictures is our new Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) who appears as if he stepped out of the 90s with the glasses, haircut and getup he’s got on. At the same time it’s just a really cool look and DeHaan pulls it off well. Now we wonder if they’ll end up turning Harry into the eventual bad boy that he becomes in the comics, but we don’t want to think about him as a villain just yet, especially when we have two others to deal with in this movie.
Electro appears as if he’s a super nerd who’s been crushed one too many times and turns into a lethal badass that’s hell-bent on destroying Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield), and we’re totally down with that. Now the whole story with The Rhino (Paul Giamatti) is still unknown at the moment, but we hope at this year’s Comic-Con they show off some footage of this villain really tearing apart New York City in search of Spider-Man.
What are you looking forward to in The Amazing Spider-Man 2?
