To all the geeks out there who managed to get their hands on a pass for one or all four days of this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, right now it’s the most wonderful time of the year. The summer weather is starting up and every other cosplayer is panicking about whether or not their costume will be ready in time for the convention. Since we’re just a few weeks away from the monstrous Comic-Con, Lionsgate has already planned which upcoming movies they’ll be showing off at their panel.
On Saturday, July 20th, Lionsgate will take over Hall H for a short amount of time and show off some brand new clips and bring in some folks to talk about The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and I, Frankenstein. Now that you know that The Hunger Games and the Marvel panel will be in Hall H on the same day, you better start camping out next to the convention center now because it’s going to be a mess. We would imagine that they’ll bring the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth at the very least, and perhaps Aaron Eckhart to show off some brand new clips from I, Frankenstein. Nothing’s been confirmed as of this moment but we bet our money that all of these folks will be showing up.
It’ll probably be another week or two until we get the official schedule for this year’s Comic-Con. Television looks to be making a huge impact once again, shadowing over any movies that may be in there. Then again, I wouldn’t completely count out the movie panels. Warner Bros will be bringing DC along with them and Disney/Marvel is going to dominate Saturday afternoon in Hall H once again. Surely there will be a couple more surprises popping up as the weeks dwindle down.
Which movie do you hope to see show up at this year’s Comic-Con?
