Magneto is one of the biggest and baddest characters ever to grace the X-Men characters on the pages of the comics and on the big screen. At the end of X-Men: First Class we saw Magneto in full costume, ready to wreak some havoc on the non-mutants who stand in their way. We may be seeing plenty of that in X-Men: Days of Future Past from the looks of this new image below.

Michael Fassbender is back playing the sinister and sometimes misunderstood Magneto, but how much of a role will he have in Days of Future Past? In the comics Magneto is practically non-existent since Mystique is the one running the whole operation that involves assassinating Senator Robert Kelly. Maybe in this version they’re letting Magneto organize it all. Then if that’s the case, what is he doing in front of Xavier’s school? Perhaps the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and the X-Men are about to battle each other. Then again there’s the whole time traveling aspect of the story. Magneto could have encountered whoever it is who traveled back in time and is trying to either continue the deed of assassinating Senator Kelly or try to stop it. But he is a bad guy and… I am reading way too into this.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is now filming and should be expected to come out in theaters during the summer of next year.
