Okay, we’ve had enough of seeing Thor’s pretty chiseled face. What some of us big time Doctor Who fans want to see is Christopher Eccleston all dressed up as the villain Malekith in the upcoming Marvel movie Thor: The Dark World. Marvel has granted us our wish, and while we can’t really see too much of the 9th Doctor’s face under all that make-up, we’re sure he will be delightfully menacing onscreen when the movie comes out.

At this point Thor (Chris Hemsworth) has dealt with all sorts of random alien forces that threaten not only Asgard but the people of Earth. There’s no way that he could face a threat any bigger than that, right? Wrong. It looks like Malekith and his Dark Elf army are ready to raise hell on both worlds at once. Will Thor and company be able to handle it? Perhaps, but we won’t find out until we’re able to see Thor: The Dark World in theaters later on this year.

Now you might be wondering what’s the big deal with Malekith and why is he such a feared enemy compared to the others that Thor has encountered at this point. Malekith the Accursed is like any other conqueror who simply wants power over everything in his path. If someone tries to get in his way, he’ll kill them where they stand. At one point in the comics he even strikes up an allegiance with Loki (Tom Hiddleston), which means very bad news for Thor if they go that route in the new film. Check out the new pictures below.

What are you looking forward to the most in Thor: The Dark World?
