Johnny Depp is going deep Into The Woods with Meryl Streep. The two are currently in talks to star in director Rob Marshall‘s Disney flick. We have plot details for you below. Also, Fox came out this week and announced that they would be making a sequel to 2004′s Dodgeball. Both Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller will be reprising their roles.   • Walmart Shoppers Can See Man of Steel First:  Here’s a nice little bonus for comic book fans—Walmart has teamed up with Warner Bros. to give their customers an exclusive chance to see Man of Steel in theaters before the film’s official release!  Marking the first time a retailer has joined forces with a movie studio to allow an early look at a full film, 3,700 Walmart stores will be selling exclusive screening tickets for Man of Steel at 8 AM on May 18th (for both 2D and 3D screenings).  The screenings will take place at selected theaters on June 13—that’s one day before the rest of the country gets to see it!  The tickets also come with all sorts of goodies (Blu-Ray preorder codes, free digital comics, merch), so be sure to go here for details!
  • Dodgeball 2 In The Works: Fox has asked Clay Tarver (Joy Ride) to pen a sequel to Dodgeball. The follow-up will again star Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller. This time though, they’ll be “forced to team up to fight an even bigger threat.”  Source: Vulture
  • Armie Hammer Joins U.N.C.L.E.: Armie Hammer is Tom Cruise‘s latest co-star. He has just joined Guy Ritchie‘s remake of the sixties TV show The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Hammer will play “a version” of the Napoleon Solo character originally played by Robert Vaughan in the series.  Source: Vulture
  • Gus Van Sant: Gus Van Sant is keen to direct Fifty Shades of Grey. This week, it was revealed that the director filmed a secret sex scene starring Alex Pettyfer. According to reports, Van Sant filmed the scene in which Anastasia Steele loses her virginity to Grey. This doesn’t secure the director the job, obviously.   • Into The Woods Casting: According to ComingSoon, Into the Woods “weaves together the story of several of the most beloved fairytales (Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel) into the original story of a baker and his wife who try to reverse a curse on their family in order to have a child, exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests and their desire for “happily ever after.”  Streep is set to play the evil witch in the film.
  • Punisher Cosplay: Are you a fan of the Punisher? Unreality Magazine posted some photos of two identical twins dressed in Punisher costumes. Check it out.
  • Bunker: Bunker is an indie project that’s part sci-fi, part comedy and part romance. It tells a boy-meets-girl story set during a robot apocalypse. The film is going into production very soon, but the filmmakers need some help with a few things. Writer and director Ned Ehrbar launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, and it closes this Tuesday. This means that he needs your help as soon as possible.
