Interview With A Vampire director Neil Jordan made another film about vampires, this time starring young actresses Gemma Arterton and Saoirse Ronan. Based on the newly-released trailer, it seems like he’s going to deliver another chilling vampire tale. You can watch a preview of the film below. Also, the first poster for Spike Lee‘s Oldboy was released this week. The film hits theaters later this year, but there’s no reason why we can’t get excited about it now.   • Tom Cruise Joins Yukikaze: Tom Cruise has agreed to star in Warner Bros.’ adaptation of Japanese author Chohei Kambayashi‘s Yukikaze. Deadline reports that this is a “big-scale” film that “unfolds in the early 21st Century, three decades after the alien force JAM invaded earth through a dimensional porthole that appeared over Antarctica… While humans beat back the attack, they form a special combat force to eradicate the alien threat on its home planet.” No word on who’ll direct yet.
  • Stanley Tucci Joins Transformers 4: Stanley Tucci had joined the cast of Michael Bay‘s Tranformers 4. He’ll star alongside Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, and Jack Reynor.  Source: /Film
  • American Hustle Is The Name: David O. Russell‘s upcoming corruption drama, formerly titled American Bullshit, has been renamed American Hustle. The film stars Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Jack Huston; and centers on the ’70s FBI sting operation Abscam that took down a bunch of U.S. congressmen.   • Focus Updates: Will Smith is in talks to be the male lead in Focus, the Warner Bros. heist film being directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (Crazy, Stupid, Love). According to ComingSoon,  Kristen Stewart is no longer part of the project. 
  • More GleeFox has renewed Glee for two more seasons. The show will be back for a fifth and sixth season. No word yet on which cast members will or will not be returning. Source: Vulture


  • Byzantium Trailer: Director Neil Jordan (Interview With A Vampire) is revisiting vampire turf with Byzantium. The film is based on the young adult play A Vampire Story by Moira Buffini, which follows two 200-year-old sisters (Gemma Arterton and Saoirse Ronan) who arrive in a small seaside town. After the town’s residents learn the sisters’ secret lives, their identities are threatened. The film opens June 28th. Here’s the trailer:

  • The Secret Life of Walter Mitty Photo: The first photo for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, starring Ben Stiller, hit the web. The film is a remake of the 1947 Danny Kaye original. Stiller’s plays Mitty, a photo editor at LIFE magazine whose daydreaming makes him an object of ridicule and keeps him from a woman he admires (Kristen Wiig). He goes on a series of quests, to locate a missing image but ends up finding his true self.

  • Official Oldboy Poster: The first poster for Spike Lee’s Oldboy debuted at Cinemacon in Las Vegas this past week. The film hits theaters October 11th. Check out the poster:
