Sure, Iron Man 3 has been inundating us with lots of new TV spots and clips, but it’s about to kick off the summer season in less than a month, and we’re pumped with every new look at the film. The latest clip focuses on The Mandarin, played by Ben Kingsley, as he’s about to show the world what a terrible person he can be.
And what’s most notable about this clip is how director Shane Black has put in a number of great character actors in the movie. We spotted not only William Sadler, who will be playing the President in the film (he’s probably best know for being one of director Frank Darabont‘s favorite character actors, as he’s appeared in many of that director’s movies since The Shawshank Redemption), but also Miguel Ferrer, best known for his role in the original Robocop and from his turn on TV’s Twin Peaks. You know, along with Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce and Rebecca Hall. Here’s that clip:
It seems all bad men must show how terrible they are by executing someone and The Mandarin is no difference — at least he’s not killing one of his own men. It’s also nice how the TV symbol shows Mandarin’s ten rings of power. Iron Man 3 will be kicking off the summer season this May 3, and we’re hoping it’s a blast (partly as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang fans).
Will you see Iron Man 3 opening day?
