Stephen King’s gargantuan, 13-epsiode miniseries adaptation of his own Under the Dome novel is still a few months away from airing on CBS, but the PR machine is already kicking into gear, with a brand-new teaser trailer, as well as a quick behind the scenes video with new footage from the miniseries, as well as an interview with King himself.
First, the teaser. Obviously, not much of the series has been shot and cut, as the teaser is more or less a series of voiceovers, texts, and a few animated sequences of the titular clear dome (which seals off an entire town) shearing a home in half, and causing plane and car crashes. Still, it gives one a sense of the paranoia, fear, and social breakdowns that quickly occur in the novel:
Next up is a fast behind the scenes video, which actually features a few shots from the miniseries, some behind the scenes footage, and an interview with King, who talks up director Niels Arden Oplev (the original Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Dead Man Down). Pretty basic PR stuff:
Under the Dome is produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment, and is set to premiere on CBS on June 24th.
