After all the crazy amount of money that Veronica Mars walked away with from Kickstarter, many television fans got to thinking which one of their other shows would get that opportunity. Some sci-fi fans daydream about the day where Serenity 2 will be made, but that’s not what will be coming up on the Kickstarter chain anytime soon. Instead of sci-fi, we’ll be heading down the path of drama with Friday Night Lights.

This isn’t too far-fetched of an idea to comprehend. Friday Night Lights is a show that lasted for a few season and is still very much talked about by fans to this day as new ones discover the show on Netflix. Now actress Adrianne Palicki, who was part of the show’s ensemble cast, lets fans know that yes, a Kickstarter for the beloved show will be happening in the near future.

“I think they’re starting the Kickstarter, which is insane. It’s crazy. I have multiple feelings on it. I love it so much and I’m afraid that a movie might ruin it and I don’t want that to happen. We went out on top. At the same time, to get to be on that show again, I would die for it. I would love to do it. I’m right there in the middle.”

One of the biggest risks with filming a movie based off a TV show that’s already ended is the possibility of failure. Failure that the movie won’t have the same kind of spark, spirit and fantastic writing that the show was able to maintain over the years. But who’s to say that would end up happening? Then again, another downside to trying to piece together a Friday Night Lights movie is getting the original cast back together. A few of these actors have gone on to be big time movie actors, so their schedule may not accommodate to being part of the film. Only time will tell if the pieces will fall together for a possible Friday Night Lights movie.

Do you want to see a Friday Night Lights movie? Why or why not?
