the hangover 3

Well, the trailer for the long-awaited (I’m assuming at least someone was waiting for this thing) The Hangover III is finally here.  And guess what?  In the film, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Ed Helms travel to the party cities of Las Vegas and Tijuana, where a series of increasing misunderstandings and bad decisions lead to all manner of violently escalating hilarity and hi-jinks.  Which totally sets it apart from the first two movies, wherein Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Ed Helms travel to the party cities of Las Vegas and Bangkok, where a series of increasing misunderstandings and bad decisions lead to all manner of violently escalating hilarity and hi-jinks.

But, oh hey, they don’t black out this time so it’s totally not a cynical cash-in on the success of the first two films.

Also returning to the film franchise are Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong, and Heather Graham.  Newbies to the Hangover series are John Goodman and Melissa McCarthy, the latter of whom is apparently going to be cast in every modern comedy from here on out to help save the proceedings.  Dig the trailer:

The Hangover III is set to hit theaters on May 24, and will be the last entry into the Hangover franchise until it makes a ton of money and then director Todd Phillips will suddenly have a great idea for a sequel.

What do you think of the trailer?
