As we slowly yet inexorably inch ever closer to the inevitable release date of the Hunger Games sequel, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, we must brace ourselves for the ceaseless onslaught of promotional media that will be hurled in our direction as the November 22 release date becomes more and more near. Today, we have a series of creepy promotional portraits of three The Hunger Games: Catching Fire characters.
So far, we’ve seen a series of new images from the film, followed by a new poster, followed by images of “the Victory Tour.” Now, we have a collection of individual character portraits featuring a collection of what appears to be a totally random assemblage of vowels and consonants, but I am assured that to readers of the Hunger Games, these are actual “names”: Haymitch Abernathy, Effie Trinket, and Caesar Flickerman.
So now you can see Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, and Stanley Tucci as their Hunger Games characters in portraiture that looks like creepy paintings you’d see in your grandmother’s attic. Also, keep your eye on Capital Couture Tumblr, which will be releasing a new character portrait every few hours. So if you have absolutely nothing at all to do, hey, check it out.
What do you think of the portraits?
