It’s major casting update time once again for the much talked about comic book movie X-Men: Days of Future Past. This time around the casting news may come as a little surprise to comic book fans solely because it could imply that we may see Bishop on the big screen. Fingers crossed.

Omar Sy, best known for his recent role in the foreign film The Intouchables, has signed on to be part of the cast. His role as of this moment is unknown but X-Men fans are thinking he’ll more than likely be Bishop. But if he’s not, then maybe he’s somebody who works closely with Senator Kelly or another mutant entirely.

Could this be our Bishop? For those of you who may not know, Bishop is a mutant that first appeared in the early nineties X-Men comics who eventually traveled back in time and joined up with the group. Now if Bryan Singer and company are taking a page out of the X-Men Animated Series version of Days of Future Past, Bishop is the person who travels back in time in order to deliver the message about what is to come if they don’t stop the Brotherhood from assassinating Senator Kelly. If they do that, then that means we won’t be seeing Kitty Pryde doing any sort of time-traveling and more than likely will just be seen in the dystopian alternate future, which would be a shame for some who were looking forward to seeing that part of the comic story line translate onto film.

Who do you think Omar Sy will be in X-Men: Days of Future Past?
