Arrested Development, the little show that triumphed over cancellation and is returning to Netflix this May, has had no problems getting high profiles guests to either do their first appearance or return to the show. People like Henry Winkler, Terry Crews, Kristen Wiig and Seth Rogen have all done parts in the new season. Now it’s been announced that Ben Stiller is returning as his magician character Tony Wonder.

This casting information comes from Entertainment Weekly after a flurry of news about the future of the show. Yesterday it was reported that the  Netflix CEO Reed Hastings suggested that the fourth season was a one-off, as getting the cast and crew back together again would be too difficult to accommodate. This also led to speculation that  the fourth season would be set up to launch a movie, which is something that series creator Mitch Hurwitz had talked about previously (though one would hope they could get it to six seasons before the movie).

But today, it’s hard to know what to make of the future of Arrested Development as Hitfix talked to other people at Neflix who said that, yes, doing more would be difficult, but it’s not impossible. Our read: Yeah, this is probably the last season of Arrested Development. Jason Bateman has a promising film career, and few involved are at want for work. But we’ll all know more after we watch the fourth season, which could bring back the magic, or not.
