Hey. Hello. How’s your day going so far? Not so great? Okay, well get ready ’cause we’re about to make your day. Zach Galifianakis is back with his awesome Funny or Die series Between Two Ferns. In the latest episodes, he sits down with a bunch of Oscar contenders and asks all of the important questions that no one is asking, you know, the nitty-gritty.
In the first part, released yesterday, Galifianakis sat down with Jennifer Lawrence, a “drunk” Anne Hathaway, Christoph Waltz, Naomi Watts and Amy Adams. Everyone’s in on the joke, of course, but Hathaway little drunk routine feels like she’s trying too hard. Lawrence, on the other hand, goes for the mean girl act (which is absolutely great!). She gets pissed off that the host plays her off. Check it out:
The second edition, released today, features Jessica Chastain, Sally Field, and invisible Daniel Day-Lewis and Bradley Cooper. Galifianakis asks Field about her weight gain for Lincoln, which is inappropriate enough, and then just plays her off. But the real funny/awkward moment comes when his Hangover co-star sits down. Zach tells Cooper he’s wrote an Oscar speech for him, but not the one you think. It’s a mean-spirited concession speech. The two then get into a huge hilarious argument that ends quite violently. Did those videos make your day or what?
