Fantasy prequels are definitely making it’s rounds this year. Between the continuation of the trilogy The Hobbit and Disney’s re-imagining of the world of Oz in Oz the Great and Powerful, there’s plenty of make-believe movie wonder to go around. As we edge closer towards the film’s release, we’re treated to a couple of brand new character posters that show off three beautiful witches and one very cunning man.

We’re already absolutely in love with the redesigned version of Oz that we’ve seen so far in the trailers. Instead of looking like a lazy form of Tim Burton‘s lukewarm Alice in Wonderland, a movie that sadly this one keeps getting compared to, it appears to be a crazy vibrant world. If there was a Dungeons and Dragons version of those two movies for people to play, we’d want to definitely take part in the Oz the Great and Powerful one. I call Mila Kunis‘ character Theodora!

In the upcoming prequel, we follow Oz (James Franco), a small-time circus magician who never achieved the fame and fortune that his wide imagination always wanted. When he’s whisked away to the magical land of Oz, the inhabitants believe he’s the big-shot wizard that they were expecting, throwing everything he could ever desire at his feet. But when he begins to intertwine in the lives of three witches (Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams), he quickly finds out that there’s more going on to Oz than he first thought. Now check out these gorgeous new posters below.

Will you see Oz the Great and Powerful when it’s out in theaters?
