Let’s stop with the “Arnold is back!” jokes and get straight to the facts. Yes, he is indeed back in the film world and is once again taking over the action genre that turned him into the superstar he is today. Along with that, he’s revisiting some of the roles that made him famous, one of those being the terrifying cyborg in The Terminator franchise. His face, and his character, are one of the many things that catapulted it into the popular science fiction franchise it is today. So it makes total sense that he’d want to be in Terminator 5.
While making his rounds promoting his comeback role in The Last Stand, Arnold Schwarzengger confirmed that he would reprise his iconic role. We’re just really curious to see how they’d manage that if what Schwarzenegger was saying is right. They tried their best to pull it off during Terminator Salvation when they used the power of computer graphics in order to place Schwarzenegger’s face on a younger actor’s body. Because, let’s face it, Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn’t have the body that he used to have back in the eighties.
Then again, who’s to say that the former California governor will be shown at all. They could do something where they may show the creator of the T-800 who, funny enough, would look exactly like his creation. That’d be a smart way to show him without asking the aging action star to try and look thirty years younger.
