There’s been no shortage of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For casting news of late. In addition to a host of returning alum from Frank Miller’s Sin City (Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, Rosario Dawson, and Jaime King) , the long-anticipated sequel recently nabbed Joseph Gorden-Levitt for a lead role, as well as Josh Brolin and Christopher Meloni. Now, three more big names have joined the roster.
First up, Ray Liotta will be joining the cast, likely bringing his signature crazy-eyed intensity and brooding to a franchise that has no shortage of crazy and brooding characters. Then there’s Juno Temple, who Cinema Blend surmises will play one of the prostitute Girls of Old Town. Finally, Jeremy Piven will be joining the cast, likely portraying a smarmy, smirking guy with a hairpiece and permanent five o’clock shadow.
Who they are really playing is anyone’s guess, as not official character descriptions have been released. But, like the first Sin City film, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is certainly getting a gigantic roster of fairly large names to join ranks.
Like its predecessor, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is directed by Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller (based upon Miller’s graphic novels). The film will be released on October 4.
