In some hours we will kiss this year goodbye and welcome 2013. But before you pop the champagne bottles, how about one last look at 2012. We’ve collected 10 of the best internet comedy videos of the year, taken from sites like College Humor and FunnyOrDie.  We also found some from random users on YouTube that we found hilarious. Check them out.

10. Look At This Instangram

Instangram is everyone’s favorite app for showing off anything and everything. The sun is setting? Instagram. The food you’re eating looks delicious and “artsy”? Instagram. Stuck in a mirror with a bathroom? Selfie Instagram! College Humor put a twist on Nickelback‘s “Photograph” and filled it with funny lyrics poking fun at Instagram users. If you’re one, you’ll find this one hilarious.

9. End OF The World Prank

So, the world didn’t end this year as some predicted. But one guy thought it would be funny to play with people’s emotions a little bit. In this video, a guy fools people into thinking the end of the world is coming. It’s kind of messed up seeing people freak out (one guy even turns to God for refuge), but some may find it funny. We did.

8. Student Loan STD’s

Student loans are a graduating student’s worst nightmare. College Humor put together a PSA that makes student loans seem a lot like STD’s. The comparison is depressing and wickedly funny. Unless you have rich parents, there’s no hope for these kinds of loans.

7. Cat-Friend Vs. Dog-Friend

Ever wonder what cats and dogs would be like if they were real people? Youtube user FATAWESOME decided to answer that question by having two humans behave as such. The dog-friend is always excited, grateful and loyal; and the cat-friend is an ungrateful jerk who doesn’t seem to like anybody. Who would you prefer as a friend?

6. A Conversation With My 12-Year-Old Self

32-year-old filmmaker Jeremiah McDonald cleverly edited a conversation between him now, and him as a 12-year-old boy. The video went viral earlier this year, and now has more than 9 million views on YouTube. The video was so successful, he even went on a press tour and appeared on CNN and The Today Show. So encourage your kids to keep making those home videos. You never know when they’ll come in handy in the future.

5. Kristen Stewart Explains Cheating

One of the year’s biggest scandals was the Kristen Stewart-Rupert Sanders affair. While we don’t care about the personal lives of these celebrities, we did appreciate Laura McDonald‘s spot-on impression of K-Stew explaining why she did what she did.

4. Gay Men Will Marry Your Girlfriends

In November, 5 gay men made a threat to Americans: support gay marriage or… we’ll marry your girlfriends! In the funny sketch, written by comedian Dan Gurewitch, gay men list the things they’ll do if people don’t start supporting the cause. The video got a lot of responses from straight men, lesbian women and straight women.

3. The Claire Danes Cry Face

Claire Danes is a talented actress. We love seeing her as the nutty Carrie Mathison on Homeland. One of the things that sets Danes apart, and makes her unique, is her cry-face, which some refer to as “chin-acting.” In this impressive supercut, we see an assortment of Danes’ turning on the waterworks. Her cry-face has become a phenomenon since.

2. Sh*t White Girls Say To Black Girls

Technically the Sh*t Girls Say meme started in 2011, but it stayed strong throughout 2012. Sh*t White Girls Say To Black Girls was one of the many videos that sprung out of the original. And while there were a lot of good ones, Franchesca Ramsey‘s version was one of the best for its cutting and realistic humor.

1. Mitt Romney Style

The best “Gangnam Style” parody video of the year was College Humor’s “Mitt Romney-Style.” The clip hilariously pokes fun at the failed presidential candidate in so many ways. The writing is hilarious and the Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan impersonators don’t hold anything back. It’s an addicting little video.
