Since we’re still dancing in the realm of assumptions when it pertains to Tron 3, we could assume that Garrett Hedlund could have something to do with the sequel. He is that one guy who played the son of Flynn, so it’d make sense if we saw his character again. But does the actor want to do it? Let us rephrase that: is the sky blue? Obviously.

When press folk like myself talk to actors who are clearly attached to the next sequel of who-knows-what mega movie franchise, the inevitable question about the latest on that picture’s development comes up. Garrett Hedlund dished out a general reaction proving that he knows near to nothing on what’s going on with Tron 3, other than Disney’s obvious involvement.

Yeah. Disney’s very excited. That’s about that. You know, yeah, I’m very excited, Disney’s very excited.

It’s so incredibly early in development that obviously Hedlund wasn’t going to dish out script details, especially since they just barely hired somebody to write it out for them. Right now all we can do is speculate as to what we’ll be dealing with in the next picture. One of the biggest question fans have been asking themselves is whether or not they’ll bring back Jeff Bridges’ character in some way, shape or form. If you’ll recall the ending for Tron: Legacy, he had to sacrifice himself in order to save his son and Quorra (Olivia Wilde) from the terrors of his computer creation Clu. How they’ll try to bring back Kevin Flynn will be quite the task, but who knows? Maybe they won’t even include him in the next film.

Are you looking forward to another Tron movie?
