We’re still months and months away from the release of Iron Man 3, but we’re starting to get trailers for many of the early summer pictures of 2013, because right now we’re getting the biggest pictures between now and then. That is to say, we’re getting The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Here’s the latest IM3 trailer, this time from Japan.
And marketing in Japan is a little different. This new trailer basically says “hey, you liked him in The Avengers, now watch Robert Downey Jr.‘s Tony Stark get the crap kicked out of him.” And with Japanese subtitles to boot. As we’re heading into 2013, , and after this summer, which delivered a number of stinky would by blockbuster pictures, it’s nice to have Iron Man 3 on the slate, because it looks like one of the few films we can count on next summer to deliver the goods. Here’s that trailer:
Next May, Iron Man will start the summer, but then we get The Great Gatsby (which got bumped from December and is a huge question mark), Star Trek Into Darkness (which – until they reveal the villain – is still questionable), then Fast & Furious 6 and The Hangover Part III. Though that field doesn’t have so many obvious stink-possibilities as last year (I mean, Battleship, Battleship), you never know. But we’ve got a good feeling about Iron Man.
What are you most excited for next May?
