NBC has hired the show’s creator Julian Fellower to create an American drama about the super duper rich of 19th century New York.   • Downton Abbey For The States: Are you ready for the U.S. version of Downton Abbey? According to Vulture, Julian Fellower has been hired by NBC to create a drama about “the moguls and mavens” of the late-nineteenth century in New York City. The show will be called The Gilded Age, and will focus on the time when money was king. So it’ll be set in modern times then?
  • Lenny Kravitz To Star In Biopic: Lenny Kravitz will play Marvin Gaye in an upcoming film, which will be directed by Julien Temple (Absolute Beginners). The film is set to shoot next year. The biopic will focus on the time Gaye spent in Europe in the early 1980′s, when he tried to get clean and get his career back on track.   • Daniel Bruhl Replaces James McAvoy In Movie: James McAvoy has dropped out of Bill Condon‘s WikiLeas movie due to his commitment to X-Men: Days of Future Past.   • Stephen King’s Under The Dome Gets Picked Up: Under The Dome is getting adapted. The 2009 Stephen King novel recently got picked up by CBS and was given a 13-episode straight-to-series order, set to be released next summer. The story follows a New England town that suddenly finds itself sealed off from the rest of the world by a transparent dome, Simsons‘ style. Steven Spielberg‘s Amblin Entertainment will produce, while ER‘s Neal Baer will serve as show runner. Source: /Film
