Okay, so we’re currently drowning underneath the heavy weight that is possible Oscar contenders. But we must not forget that there is a couple of movies that we should be paying attention to that are coming out next month. No, we’re not talking about the darn Hobbit, we’re referring to Quentin Tarantino‘s bloody revenge tale Django Unchained.
Usually the promotional material that’s churned out for one of Tarantino’s pictures is pretty spectacular, which means all the posters that have been released so far are great. Today The Weinstein Company released their latest theatrical poster which a lot of us already want plastered on our walls. It’s simple, bold and we really do wish that the movie was coming out this Friday instead of on Christmas Day. That and we’re really curious to see how Leonardo DiCaprio is playing an eccentric slave owner. People haven’t even seen Django Unchained yet and they’re already predicting that he’ll be nominated for his performance. Granted, Tarantino’s movies tend to be fantastic but they should probably wait to sing the movie’s praises until after they’ve seen it.
Django Unchained has one amazing cast that includes the likes of Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Kerry Washington, Don Johnson, Samuel L. Jackson and many others. The movie focuses on Django (Foxx), a slave freed by dentist and bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Waltz) who hopes to train him to be a bounty hunter himself. However, Django has other plans when he tries to find the slave owner who has his wife (Washington). Yeah, this sounds amazing.
