Chan-wook Park is a visionary in his own right. He’s continued to amaze audiences across the globe with his thrilling tales, especially that of Oldboy. Recently the famed director has stepped out of his comfort zone and made an American movie, and we couldn’t be more excited. Thus we have been given Stoker, a visually drool-worthy thriller that’ll be coming out in a few months time. And no, it has nothing to do with Bram Stoker. Please stop assuming that.

So far we haven’t been disappointed in the slightest by the promotions they’ve been doing for Stoker. First we were graced with the presence of a spectacular trailer, and then we get one intriguing first poster. But wait, there’s an explanation for it. If you check out the new video, which you can see below, it shows the conception of the poster’s design and how each part intertwines with the upcoming movie. Very clever Fox Searchlight. And we must admit that we love how the video plays off more like a subtle music video of sorts, showing just the right amount of clips in order to properly tease us. It’s some way to get us all riled up for this movie.

The upcoming film centers on the sudden arrival of India’s (Mia Wasikowska) estranged Uncle Charlie (Matthew Goode) after the passing of her father. He comes to live with India and her imbalanced mother (Nicole Kidman) only to bring more chaos into this already unstable family. Stoker comes out in theaters on March 1st, 2013 but we really wish it were sooner.

What do you think of the poster? Do you like it or no?
