Yesterday, we had a sneak peek at the upcoming Carrie remake by way of a bloody teaser poster that borrowed liberally from the Thor ad campaign. Today, we’ve got a full teaser trailer that pays off on the bloody promise of the poster, in which a blood-soaked Carrie is wreaking havoc on an entire town. Check it out below.
Director Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don’t Cry, Stop-Loss) certainly has her work cut out for her, as she’s remaking both a classic horror film of the 1970s directed by one of the finest auteurs of the era (Brian De Palma), as well as the classic (well, his fans think it’s a classic) first novel by Stephen King. And while the teaser trailer doesn’t reveal much, it is a nicely stylish preview of what’s the come. Give it a look:
Starring Chloë Grace Moretz as the titular telekinetic teen and Julianne Moore as her unbalanced, religion-obsessed mother, Carrie is set for a March 15, 2013 release date. That should give us just enough time to have—in addition to the teaser poster and teaser trailer—a trailer for the full trailer, four different full trailers, a poster, a 3-D online poster, a “Google hang-out” and more.
What do you think of the teaser?
