It’s been awhile since we’ve seen a great Bond film—2006’s Casino Royale was great fun, but 2008’s Quantum of Solace was hastily-edited silliness—and it looks like this year’s Skyfall may fit the bill for Bond excellence. With Daniel Craig returning as 007, Javier Bardem showing up as an oddly-coifed Big Bad, and Naomie Harris and Berenice Marlohe appearing as Bond girls. Skyfall may just live up to Casino Royale’s promise. And now we have a banner showing off the new characters.
In the film, Bardem plays “Raoul Silva,” a man who is “more than a villain” and features a unique relationship with Bond. Harris plays a field agent named Eve, and Marlohe plays a mysterious femme fatale. Check ‘em out in their uber-serious banner poses below:
In Skyfall, M’s (Judi Dench) past comes back to haunt her and 007, while a list of names of all secret agents currently undercover in terrorist agencies leaks (which is kinda sorta the same dues ex machina plot device used in the first Mission: Impossible film).
Directed by Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Revolutionary Road), Skyfall costars Naomie Harris, Bérénice Marlohe, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCrory, Rory Kinear, and Albert Finney, and is set for a November 9th release date.
What do you think of the new banner?
