During last month’s 2012 MTV Movie Awards, Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt appeared in order to debut new footage from the insanely anticipated The Dark Knight Rises.  Unfortunately the footage was pulled offline almost as quickly as it appeared online—meaning that if you didn’t subject yourself to the horrors of watching the 2012 MTV Movie Awards, you missed the preview of exclusive new footage.  Now, courtesy of Warner Bros.’s partnership with Xfinity, the footage is now online.  Check it out below.

As with last week’s newest TV spot, there’s a heavy focus on Catwoman and her alter-ego, Selena Kyle, in the new footage.  There’s also some new shots of Bane, Bats, and Gotham rioters, which should be enough to fuel the ceaseless and baseless fan speculation about the film’s plot, which is pretty much what the internet was created for anyway, right?

The Dark Knight Rises is set for a July 20th release, and stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Morgan Freeman.  It is the final film in the Christopher Nolan-directed Batman series, and was written by Nolan and his brother, Jonathan.

What did you think of the footage?  Will you be seeing The Dark Knight Rises?
