2012 Sundance Film Festival favorite (check out our glowing review) and co-winner of the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize, Robot & Frank won big with film fest audiences earlier this year.  The near-future story of a retired cat burglar, his robot caretaker, and their developing friendship and (mis)adventures, the winning film now has a full trailer.  Check it out below.

The directorial debut of commercial director Jake Schreier as well as the first film release from Park Pictures Features (the feature film division of Park Pictures), Robot & Frank finds retired cat burglar Frank aging to the point that he can no longer live alone.  Instead of shipping him off to a nursing home, Frank’s children buy him a humanoid robot (voiced by Peter Sarsgaard) to care for him and “improve his physical and mental health.”  And, as the trailer shows, Frank takes the robot under his wing and reboots his thieving career.

Written by Christopher Ford, Robot & Frank stars Frank Langella, Susan Surandon, James Marsden, Liv Tyler, Peter Sarscaard, Jeremy Sisto, and Jeremy Strong.  The film is set for an August 24th release.
