Well, Twi-hards (sigh), the time has come—you can finally see Renesmee Cullen, the half-human/ half-vampire child of Edward and Bella in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2.  Thanks to a layout in the newest issue of Entertainment Weekly, the child vamp portrayed by Mackenzie Foy can now be seen.

While the publicity photo below tries to keep things ambiguous by partially masking Renesmee’s face, Entertainment Weekly features two covers this week, both of which show Mackenzie Foy’s face clearly.  In keeping with the aesthetic of the previous Twilight films, Foy appears to be vaguely bored and a little sleepy in the pictures.  However, she does seem to be bucking tradition somewhat by not leaving her mouth gaping open, as is Kristen Stewart’s dumbfounding trademark.

Speaking of Mackenzie Foy’s role as Renesmee, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 director Bill Condon calls it “a hugely important part,” and states that Stewart and Robert Pattinson were very paternal with her off-screen (cue millions of teenage girls passing out all at once):   “They were amazing with her…it really  brought something paternal out in Rob, and Kristen was especially protective. I’d have to interrupt them when they were in deep conversation to get going with a scene.”

You can see The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 for yourself when the film is released on November 16th, at which point life will cease to have no meaning for all girls under the age of 15.

What do you think of the Renesmee Cullen shots?
