Coming fast on the heels of the official U.S. trailer for Django Unchained is the international trailer for the upcoming film from Quentin Tarantino.  Full of violent and funny new footage, the international clip is treasure trove for Tarantino fans, featuring as it does a slew of new scenes from Django Unchained, as well as a blink or you’ll miss it clip of an elderly Sam Jackson.

As is the case with the U.S. trailer, Django Unchained lays out the basic plot of Tarantino’s newest flick without busting out too many spoilers–Christoph Waltz is a bounty hunter tasked with murdering a group of masked, slave-running brothers.  The only man who knows what the bounties actually look like is a slave named Django (Jamie Foxx), who agrees to help Waltz’s bounty hunter in exchange for both his freedom, and the rescue of his wife from the sadistic plantation owner, Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio).

As for the new footage, the international trailer allows us to see a bit more of the humorous, cold-blooded nature of Waltz’s bounty hunter, Candie’s predilection for watching his slaves battle each other to the death, and more interplay between Foxx and Waltz.  Elsewhere, we get a funny bit where a slave teases Django about his blue valet’s uniform.

Watching the international trailer, the film’s U.S. release date of Christmas day can’t come soon enough.  The film’s international release is early 2013.
