One of the more memorable recurring skits in the Jackass franchise—and, shockingly, one that doesn’t include torrents of excrement and/or household items being inserted into places they shouldn’t—is the “bad grandpa” sketch.  In it, head Jackass Johnny Knoxville plays a foulmouthed old man who shares booze with his grandson and loudly discusses sex acts.  And now, it appears, the character will be getting his very own film.

While this is entirely speculation at this point, it’s hard not to assume that the cranky grandpa isn’t getting a film after Paramount spent the week registering the following domain names:

So—could the Jackass crew be reteaming to make a sustained, 90-minute sketch?  Will it be a scripted, narrative comedy, or simply a fly-on-the-wall “documentary” recording real people reacting to the old jerk?  Or will it be somewhere in between, a la Borat?  Not much else is known at the moment.

It should be noted that at South By Southwest 2012, Knoxville stated that after Jackass 3D “I’ve got 50-60 ideas on top of all the stuff we didn’t get to shoot. We’ve got more than enough ideas. We’ve probably got enough ideas for two movies just sitting there.”
