Well, WonderCon 2012 has been the gift that keeps on giving this weekend.  In addition to bestowing upon us the full trailer for the massively anticipated new Ridley Scott film, Prometheus (watch it here—you won’t regret it), Saturday at WonderCon also gave a new, more in-depth preview to the insanity that is Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.  Check out the new trailer below!

Featuring narration by Honest Abe (Benjamin Walker), the new trailer peers into the backstory of our 16th president, revealing that his mother was murdered by vampires, sending The Railsplitter on a quest for vengeance that will lead him both to the White House as well sinking a giant battle axe into the heads of the undead.  It’s an absolutely batshit insane premise, and it’s growing more and more irresistible with each new preview (dig the first trailer here, and the expanded international version here).  Here’s hoping that it’s basically not just an internet generated meme (I’m looking at you, Snakes on a Plane), and is a real and completely satisfying film.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Alan Tudyk, Anthony Mackie, Rufus Sewell, Erin Wasson and Dominic Cooper, and the film opens on June 22.

What do you think of the new trailer?
