‘Ghost Hunters’ Lead Investigator Grant Wilson Quits, Is No Longer Who You’re Gonna Call
By Travis Woods
Bad news for regular viewers of the Syfy channel (there are viewers of Syfy, right? Those exist?), as it was announced on Wednesday night that Grant Wilson, co-lead investigator of Syfy’s “documentary” series Ghost Hunters, will be departing the show.
After eight years with the show, Wilson will no longer be a paranormal investigator TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society). Whether or not this has to do with back strain due to carrying heavy proton packs, or the travails of swimming in thick, viscous pink slime beneath the streets of New York City in an effort to prevent the rebirth of a seventeenth century Carpathian tyrant, it is not known.
Wilson announced after the most recent episode of Ghost Hunters that he has “decision to leave the series in order to focus on other aspects of my personal life” and that he will “deeply miss working with [co-investigator] Jason [Hawes] and the rest of the dedicated investigators and crew that have become like family, and I wish them all the best as they continue to follow their passion and realize the vision of TAPS.”
After eight years, Ghost Hunters has become both Syfy’s longest running series, as well as their flagship program.
What do you think of the Ghost Hunters news?

What the fetch! I think this is really sad news and I will miss Grant. I watch the show from time to time because I like the fact that the investigators don't think everything they see and hear is paranormal. They will try to find a logical explanation for as much of the activity as they can, unlike the English Most Haunted version. (The people on that show pretty much think that every flake of loose paint that fell from a ceiling must be paranormal!) I will truly miss Grant and I wish him all the very best for the future.

His leaving will definitely change the face and make up of Ghost Hunters. However, I have noticed that Grant has not looked well this season and wondered if he was ill. I have been a fan of the show since it first debuted and hope it will continue for many more years. Best of luck to all of the Ghost Hunters and their families.

Being a big fan of GH, I am sorry to see Grant leave, but he has to do what is best for him. Good luck in all of his endevors!! Now, why not bring back Donna, Brian, Andy, or Dustin to take Grant's place, since they are seasoned investigators?

I am also very sorry to see Grant go. I always liked the way he investigated and it always seemed like he had a vested interest in finding the right solutions vs the "haunted" solutions you see in other shows. This article however, seems to be poorly written and makes almost a mockery of not only the show but the Scfy (yes I hate the new name too) channel as well. There are quite a few watchers of this show and this channel. Hence the reason the Scfy channel is still around and still producing new shows. Good luck Grant.

I heard he left the show to follow his passion of learning how to play a musical instrument and learn how to paint pictures. True.

Who cares if Grant Wilson quits, The Ghost Hunters are such poor scientists that is is laughable.
Maybe Jason can find a partner with a back round in science, and start investigating these places
in the afternoon when there is some light. after all our eyes are our primary sense organ.Don't get
me wrong I like to watch the show, but please show me something interesting for a change.

Grant will be misseed. The friendship between Jason and Grant was strong and it showed.
Hope that the next partner will be able to fill Grant's shoes and have the same chemistry with Jason.
