Well, it’s almost time for the second half of AMC’s The Walking Dead to rise from its mid-season hiatus, stumbling forth from the earth in desperate hungry need of brains, brains, brains.  And, just to make sure you remember it’s returning to the airwaves on February 12, AMC has crafted a quick little trailer for the second half of season two in order to whet your appetite.

And, in an apparent response to much of season two’s interminable mediocrity in which characters ceased to be real people of depth and simply devolved in plot devices, AMC’s trailer displays a newfound depth and intellige… oh, I’m just kidding.  It’s basically everybody in the cast shooting a bunch of guns and crashing cars and yelling.

So, what do you think?  Will the second half of the season move a little more quickly than the first?  Showrunner Robert Kirkman has stated in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that it will “move at a pretty quick pace,” but didn’t mention much in the way of improved writing or acting, so only time will tell.  In the meantime, you can catch up by checking out all of our Walking Dead season two reviews before the show starts back up next month.
