Another superhero movie is coming our way this summer. In less than two weeks, Ryan Reynolds will make his debut as the Green Lantern. Here at ScreenCrave we wanted to celebrate with a “little” giveaway, but if you’ve participated in our giveaways you know that there’s nothing “little” about them. This time the prize pack is over $600. This has got to be one of our biggest giveaways yet, and only one lucky winner will get to call himself the Green Lantern Giveaway winner! TO PLAY: If you got a hold of a ring that granted you one superpower, what superpower would that be — shape-shifting, invisibility, making other people go bald? And why? We like interesting and creative answers so don’t hold back. Leave your list in the comment section below this post.

    If I could have a ring and have one super-power I would chose speed. Speed doesn't just make you fast, it makes you invulnerable by vibrating through objects. It can transport you to a parallel earth like The Flash and you can live in a perfect world. You can have thousands of times of impact on the world when going thousands of times faster when you can fight hunger by planting food in Africa really fast and making the soil usable by using water from the ocean and transporting it at super-speed. You can be the ultimate ambulance with speed and save many lives by bringing them to the hospital right at the first signs of a heart attack instead of waiting for the ambulance. Crime and kidnapping will be easy to stop because you can go faster than a police car and you can search every building in the area. I think being a Green Lantern limits you and if I had a ring I would be the hero and not the space cop.

    I'm tempted to go the Heroes' Peter route and go with the superpower to have the superpowers of whatever character I think about (1 at a time) but that's kinda bullshit in a wishing for more wishes way. That said, I gotta go with the Wolverine special…magic healing / effectively unkillable / live forever-ness. It just opens up too many possibilities to do amazing (ly stupid) things

    I would use my super power to time travel. I believe only by going BACK in time can we understand, not change the future. Use it to educate in order to build better futures for the world.

    Teleportation… That would be such an awesome power to have. No more traveling through public transportation, no more paying rising tolls only to get stuck in traffic, hell no more forking over your cash to these greedy airlines. Just think of the possibilities. More sleep before you go to work. Or you can go the route of the movie jumper lol.

    Teleportation. Imagine all you could get done with that ability at y our disposal. You could get extra sleep in before you 'teleport' to work. You could visit the seven wonders of the world…all in one day. I could go on and on about how cool teleportation is.

    I would like a ring that would transform me into the flying spaghetti monster. It would be fun to fly around in the sky and bless the inhabitants of this planet with my noodly appendages. The best part would be everyone in the world coming to the stark realization that their omnipotent creator is actually a floating mess of noodly appendages and meatballs. I think that would finally bring about world peace.

    If I were to get the ring and I could pick any super power, I think I would choose to be invisible. It would be so cool to be able to go somewhere and do good things for people and never let them know who did it. Of course…I would pull the occasional prank every now and then too!

    I would love to have a ring of transportation? Why? So whenever people are working on my nerves, my kids are destroying my house, or my animals just decided to pee on on my floor, I can whisk myself away.     I would have the super power to double the money that anyone had in their poicket or wallet. I would only use the power to double the money of someone who really needs a little help, not anyone who is rich. I wioukld use it when a mother with little kids was going to pay at the grocery, or a senior who took money out of his pocket to pay for a cup of coffee and he would discover he didn't just have five dollars, but ten.
    I would only want a super power that would help not harm!

    I would like to have the superpower of flying. It would be wonderful to be that free: to soar thru the sky, and feel the wind all around you. It would be magical to see the earth below you and be amongst the stars. The practical side would be no cars necessary. Wouldn't that be great!!!

    Any superpower?!!!
    What better superpower than the 'theoretical' human ability to control the very force that keeps everything from floating off into space… the power to control gravity! With this superpower i could prevent an airplane from crashing or create vast gravitational fields to mobilize or demobilize armies. Physically i could control the weight of the punches i throw and even design my surroundings so i may fly. I could repel all matter and even stop a speeding bullet and at the same time send a car to the moon. Also, as a student of architecture, i could create an environmental study as too how to build a livable environment on another planet…

    My ring would enable me to transfer the power of understanding to people!

    I would use it on my students who think math is impossible, fractions are evil, and numbers were created from the devil. I would use it to show them that math isn't horrible and that in fact, if they understood why we were doing what we were doing, everything would make sense.

    Can you make this ring for me, please? :) I'll pay for it…even though my salary is very low because I'm a state employee, I'd pay a lot for this ring! :)

    I would want the power to change and control matter/energy. Imagine being able to turn barren land into a thriving park with shelter and areas for play. To take a building that was schedualed for demolition and remake it into homes for the future. Change the course of a flood. And of course make the perfect salsa. What ever you could imagine in your mind would be possible to make.

    GL's ring doesn't quite do that, but I'd have to go with being able to see 24 hours into the future. (Early Edition had the right idea.) Of course, then you'd have to have a superhero team to do the heavy lifting, and you'd be stuck in HQ… but any other superpower has a weakness, too, so you might as well not get killed yourself because the other guy has a yellow weapon. Besides, how incredibly useful would you be to the JSA or the Avengers if you could tell them in advance where they'd be most needed?

    If I had one super power I would want time travel. What an awesome thing to be able to take a step back and reverse a real dumb choice or desision we have made..example like having all those nice hot rod cars when we were teens (challenger,gtx,charger etc) and selling them for a few hundred bucks. Ah, if we had only had that time travel power…lol..

    If this was a beauty pageant, I'd say world peace, but since it isn't I'm going with the power to locate lost items. It would save lots of time and worry when I misplace something if I was able to close my eyes and visualize where my keys are for example.

    I would have the power to grant one wish to each person. But I have a bit of a mean streak so the wish might not go quite as planned. Like the guy who wishes for a ton of money only to lose it all plus some to the IRS. The people that make good wishes turn out ok.

    I'd have to go with super-speed… Since I'm a new mom now it's hard balancing cleaning and errands with spending time with my son. I know kind of lame, but It'd be nice to get my house clean in seconds.

    I would choose to have the ability to travel through space and time. This would be super convenient for traveling far out places without having to waste hours flying. Also, you could learn things firsthand by going back in time. In fights, you could also manipulate time to your advantage, it would be all around awesome.

    If I had one superpower it would be having the ability to see the future so I could warn people of the dangers they would end up facing in their lives. If people know ahead of time the dangers they would be facing in the future they could do things to prevent having to face those dangers. Plus, it would be cool to know what sports teams would be winning championships ahead of time too.

    My ring power would be to produce money everytime I touched someone in need. I could go all over the world and help out all those starving children, homeless people and everyone else who really needed it. I would beable to tell from one touch what they would actually use the money for, and would only give to those that really needed it and would use it for good purpose!

    I would take the superpower to manipulate technology/electronics with my mind. In this technology filled world there will be many opportunities to use this power for good. This would be very useful in changing outcomes that depend on technology.
