In yet another enthralling episode, the Starks descend on Kings Landing, Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister meet the Night Watch, and Daenerys Targaryen finds a captivating dose of inner strength.

The Good:

  • Girl Power: Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) emerges as the most admirable character on the show, mixing some Eowyn-like sword prowess with childhood alacrity. At the same time, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) becomes increasingly badass, putting her brother in his place after he forced her to marry – and screw, many MANY times – a barbarian.
  • Dwarves and Bastards: They may be disgraces to their families, but don’t count out these clever, ambitious runts. Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) continue to prove their mettle.
  • Pacing and Scenery: Visually stunning as ever, we see more of the North and beautiful landscapes as the Dothraki ride across the plains.

The Bad:
