Here are some of my ideas for worst "Something Borrowed, some from my wild imagination, some from real stories!
- This is worst as is ew-gross and slightly akward: my close friend Dina's something borrowed, was a pair of UNDERWEAR her mother-in-law ( married to her husband for the last 40 years) had worn on HER wedding day. She was told it would be good luck to get the item from a woman with a successful marriage so she asked her future mom, who proceeded to give her underwear!! She said the only reason she ended wearing them (after being grossed out at first) was the whole good luck thing. Plus starting your marriage with lying to your mom-in-law and fiance (who insisted :O) wasn't gonna work.
- a lock of hair from someone your close to… pinned in your own do… I have no doubt this has been done before!ha
- The fiance! I know a girl who's best friend was going to be deported and so she "lent" her own boyfriend of 3 years for the wedding… They ended marrying, falling in love , and both dump the kind generous friend. Talk about sharing turned bad

Lucky blue underwear from a second aunt twice removed. I'm sure this would be gross (and unsanitary)
Monday, April 25, 2011 11:29PM
Worst borrowed would be panties!!
Monday, April 25, 2011 11:31PM
In honor of this book I think the worst thing a bride could get on her wedding day was the lingerie her best friend was wearing during the affair she was having with the groom!

the worst "something borrowed" gift you could get on your wedding day would be anything someone else used on their wedding day, and are now divorced, talk about BAD LUCK!!….also any sort of witchcraft/spells would also be bad:(
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 12:35AM
The worst borrowed item is a $5 bill …because you forgot your 'something borrowed' and at the last minute it was the quickest item to borrow from your father before he walked you down the aisle.
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 1:48AM
The worst something borrowed item would be, an engagement or wedding ring from his previous marriage, Yikes!
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 2:04AM
The worst borrowed wedding for me? My sister n law was going to let me “borrow” her wedding dress for my wedding to her brother. The night before the wedding, I called her to ask het to bring it over and to my surprise…..her comment, “Oh, you can’t wear it”! A something “borrowed” item that never happened. Wow, a bride without a dress! Ended up being the worst day of my life!
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 3:02AM
The worst thing would be panties LOL ……. That would be like out of the question bad bad idea I think but I have heard of it !

I think the worst would be underwear!
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 5:01AM
We married in 1985. I was fresh out of college and my new husband was 5 years older and definitely not working at his dream job. We both had vehicles that were unreliable to say the least…but my in-laws had a Reliant K…so we borrowed it and left the church in it…with shaving cream all over the windows and streamers hanging from the antenna. We got to Panama City & realized that in the July heat, condensation from the air conditioning had somehow managed to drip into the carpet and give the car a real mildewy funk. The "Unreliant K" as we came to call it actually got us from Point A to Point B…but the mildewy smell will forever remain in my memory as one of the two bad memories from that week. The other being my husband's freak out on the ferris wheel because he is an engineer and he kept thinking we were going to fly off if the one pin (he thought was) holding us gave way. So much for a romantic kiss at the top…:)

The worst borrowed tiem would be your future mother-in-law giving you a piece of jewelry to wear that the groom's ex gave to her as a gift! Or if the groom was already involved with someone else… then he would be the "borrowed item" =)
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 6:00AM
I think the worst something borrowed would be someone else's undergarments!
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 6:25AM
The worst borrowed item would be a used handkerchief. Ewwww, nasty! This was an excellent book, and I'm excited to see the movie!
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 6:53AM
The worse borrowed item is lingerie. GROSS!!! Heard a story about a family passing down lingerie from daughter to daughter.
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 7:51AM
I would have to say the worst "something borrowed" item would have to be lingerie. :::shudder:::
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 9:24AM
the worst borrowed item is a necklace and it broke as we were saying our vows…with pearls going everywhere.
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 11:30AM
The worst something borrowed item that could be given to you on your wedding day is a hair accessory that is out of style and ugly!
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 2:27PM
The most important thing NOT to borrow? $$$ MONEY! Don't go into debt having your special day.
It just adds more stress to your new marriage. If you cant afford it, you don't need it.
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 3:44PM
The worst "Something Borrowed" will be a Boyfriend. you have to be sure he is 100 % yours before you say that "Yes".
But of course underwear will be a discosting borrowed item to use on my wedding… =P
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 5:53PM
The happy couple usually gets tons of wedding gifts, am I right? It would be AWFUL to get a gift that was already used such as a towel, clothes, or old appliance someone didn't want. Something that particular guest once "borrowed" and is now happily giving to you
Btw let's hope that doesn't happen! haha
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 7:42PM
The worst something borrowed I can imagine is underwear. A friend, who is newly divorced, offered to let me borrow her "just married" underwear she wore on her wedding day. First thats just gross, and second I don't want to borrow any wedding item from someone who is divorced! Needless to say I borrowed a family ring from my aunt instead
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 11:48PM
Well at my cousins wedding for her something borrowed it was an old pair of these bloomer things with her great great grandmothers name on them and she had to wear them she had to have us help her get them off right after they introduced them at the reception I felt so bad she was moving around through the entire ceremony!
Wednesday, April 27, 2011 1:35AM
a borrowed ring.. that would just be so ODD!
Thursday, April 28, 2011 3:52AM
THE WORST “something borrowed” item to me is contact lenses…:)
I think i can mannage for one day without "my" blue eyes
Thursday, April 28, 2011 1:53PM
Kinda the same as this book, a horrible borrowed item would be an std. It would make this story even more twisted If he gave an std to his wife which he got from his lover.
Thursday, April 28, 2011 4:37PM
An ugly veil/hair piece or gawdy jewelry.
Friday, April 29, 2011 11:29AM
Don't ever borrow your friend's make-up – remember to bring your own to your wedding.
Friday, April 29, 2011 3:15PM

They "borrowed" my deodorant and passed it around! In my opinion that's like borrowing my toothbrush!
Tuesday, May 3, 2011 4:56AM
The worse something borrowed would be a borrowed wedding ring…
Tuesday, May 3, 2011 11:03PM
I think the worst thing you could borrow would be your values. You definitely want to make sure those are your own so that you can follow your own heart… and make good decisions on whether or not to borrow some other weird stuff on your wedding day, like the whipped cream for your honeymoon… spring for a new can.

Thursday, May 5, 2011 1:24PM
My friend & her sister are twins & she borrowed her sisters wedding gown for her own wedding too, a month later!
Thursday, May 5, 2011 1:58PM
I think the worst borrowed item someone could give me would be a really ugly gross piece of jewelry that I would then feel obligated to wear on my wedding day and would be in all my pictures.
Monday, May 16, 2011 3:52PM
the worst thing i had ever received for my wedding ( first wedding ) was a used condom ( found in my bed when we arrived back home) a blue and black eye of which i received by my hubby on our NOT honeymoon ( never had one) after i found the used condom) ..THATS THE WORST I EVER REICEIVED
