Last night’s episode of “Game of Thrones” reassured us of two things: “Game of Thrones” is here to stay (the pilot was no fluke) and there is plenty more coming down the line for all of King’s Landing… Oh, and winter is coming, and apparently – they’re beyond freezing.
Episode 2, “The Kingsroad” picked up where the pilot left off. Ned heads north as the King’s Hand, taking his two daughters with him and Jon Snow heads for The Wall to swear his lifelong oath to join the Night’s Watch as the Lannister dwarf Tyrion tags along with him instead of heading north with the rest of the Lannisters. Bran, still injured from his fall from the ramparts is in the care of his mother Catelyn (and his Dire Wolf) and remains in a coma, his secret truth kept hidden somewhere in his silence, until he wakes … If he wakes at all.
The end of the episode brought great sadness for many, I’m sure, but the lesson learned is a lesson worth learning – true evil cannot be hidden forever, and truth is always the best policy. I can’t wait for next week.
