Because there is no justice or decency in the world, for the third day in a row, there is breaking casting news about Lindsay Lohan potentially working on a third film.  Earlier this week, we had it that Lohan was auditioning for a role in Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot, and then yesterday news broke that Lohan might star as Sharon Tate in one of three upcoming Charles Manson biopics.  And now, it looks like Lohan is in final talks to play the always-classy Victoria Gotti in Gotti: Three Generations, with John Travolta.

Please excuse me while I let loose with a ten-minute sigh.

Popeater has it that this may be the first big role of Lohan’s to go into production since her stint at rehab.

Of course, Popeater also has it that Gotti: Three Generations producer Marc Fiore is going around stating that the $75 million film is going to be “the new Godfather.”

I’m going to do my very best to restrain myself here, despite the fact that someone is walking around stating that a gangster film that might star John Travolta and Lindsay Lohan will somehow replace the greatest American film made in the last 50 years, and I’ll just let his comment stand on its own.

What do you think of the endless Lohan casting news?
