You might recall that in late March we reported that Glenn Beck was considering bailing on Fox News to launch his own cable network, Tinfoil Hats And Hiding From Muslims (that might not have been the official title). Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Beck is ending his highly rated daily show on Fox in order to “develop and produce a variety of television projects for air on Fox News and other related digital platforms. “
There have been rumors of contention between Beck and the Fox News network, despite Beck having the third-highest rated show on cable news, and thus being a huge cash cow for the network.
Despite the rumors of difficulty, Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes and Beck have both been publicly kissing up to dispel said rumors, and present a unified front to their audience.
So says Ailes:
“Glenn Beck is a powerful communicator, a creative entrepreneur and a true success by anybody’s standards. I look forward to continuing to work with him.”
And Beck, in between attempts at building a nuclear reactor with paper clips and toilet paper, had this to say:
“I truly believe that America owes a lot to Roger Ailes and FOX News. I cannot repay Roger for the lessons I’ve learned and will continue to learn from him and I look forward to starting this new phase of our partnership.”
It looks like these two kids have a bright future of exploiting hate and fear together, for a long time to come.
What do you think of the Glenn Beck news?
